Thrown into Exile is a metal band from Los Angeles, California, delivering a powerful and emotionally charged blend of melodic, death and groove metal. Since forming in 2011, the band has built a reputation for combining crushing heaviness with soaring melodies, crafting songs that are both aggresive and cathartic.

After gaining early attention with their self-titled debut EP and a slot on the Rockstar Mayhem Festival, Thrown into Exile quickly cemented their place in the modern metal scene. With full-length releases like Safe Inside (2016) and II: Illusion of Control (2020), the band has continued to evolve.

More than just a metal band, Thrown into Exile aims to connect to it's listeners on a deeper, more personal level. Through their lyrics they explore themes of grief, isolation, loss, and personal transformation. Songs like "Eternal Nothingness" leads it's listeners into a barren landscape of hopelessness, and offers up not a happy resolution tied up with a pretty bow, but instead a sense of solidarity amongst ashes and wreckage.

Having shared the stage with heavyweights such as In Flames, DevilDriver, Fear Factory, and Soulfly, the band’s live shows are known for their intensity, authenticity, and emotional power.
